Bristol showcased as top tourist destination in New York

A delegation of travel experts from Bristol attended the recent New York Times Travel Show to promote the city as a tourist destination. According to our Bristol Airport parking staff, the team, known as Destination Bristol, comprised of representatives from Bristol Airport and Aer Lingus who were keen to publicise the new direct link between Bristol and the Big Apple via Dublin.

The Destination Bristol team used the opportunity to meet with US tour operators and travel firms to educate them about the South West of England. Using iconic images of the Clifton Suspension bridge, Glastonbury, SS Great Britain and annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta, they communicated the spirit of adventure and opportunities for getting outdoors which abound in the region.

Anyone wishing to travel from New York to Bristol or vice versa can now do so by connecting with Aer Lingus flights in Dublin. The Irish airline runs flights three times a day between Bristol and Dublin making it simple and quick to connect with transatlantic services to New York JFK, Boston, Chicago and Orlando.

Any passengers entering the United States via Dublin will also be able to take advantage of the special US customs and immigration clearance facilities in Dublin Airport.
