Easyjet have recently announced that they will be offering a new route to Geneva which will operate five times a week from 17 December through to 24 April 2011.It comes as the airline shares rose 10% on Wednesday as it increased its full-year profit forecast.Easyjet recently announced it was pulling out of Doncaster Robin Hood Airport in the new year, five months after launching its services there.The new route has the capacity to carry more than 28,000 passengers in its first season of operation, making it the largest low-fares airline to fly to Geneva from Leeds Bradford.Ali Gayward, UK commercial manager of Easyjet, said: "We believe that launching the popular Geneva route will bring enhanced consumer choice to passengers for a winter break destination."Tony Hallwood, Commercial and Aviation Director of Leeds Bradford International Airport, said: "The introduction of winter services to Geneva will provide increased choice for business and winter ski passengers and we also look forward to welcoming an increasing number of Swiss visitors to Yorkshire."
