Gale-force winds ground flights

L4P

As the majority of Brits get back to work today, so many are faced with flight and other travel delays due to storm-force winds and severe rain.

The South East is among the areas worst hit by the howling gales and driving rain according to staff at our Heathrow parking HQ. Gusts of up to 80mph are set to delay many flights out of Heathrow and the other London airports by the end of the day which won’t please travellers.

Elsewhere in the UK things are looking equally blustery with high winds expected across Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland.

As well as impacting on airlines and airport parking providers, the bad weather has been affecting ferry crossings to and from the Isle of Wight and beyond this morning.
