According to our Edinburgh Airport parking team, Edinburgh Airport has just been voted Best European Airport of its size at the ACI Europe Best Airport Awards.
It’s hats off to Edinburgh Airport this week, as news reaches our Edinburgh Airport parking team of a prestigious award win at the ACI Europe Best Airport Awards.
The ACI (Airport Council International) Europe Best Airport Awards covers four categories of airport and recognise outstanding performance in areas such as customer service, retail, security and environmental awareness.
Edinburgh Airport was voted Best European Airport 2011 in the 5 million to 10 million passenger category – a tough group in which they fought off strong competition from the likes of Cologne, Luton, Marseille and Milan airports.
According to additional information provided to our airport car parking staff, Edinburgh Airport was selected for the award because of the ‘dedication of its management and staff’ and the fact that it continues ‘excelling in all the key areas of operations’.
Understandably delighted, Edinburgh Airport’s Managing Director Kevin Brown offered the following comments in a recent interview with the BBC:
“This is a fantastic boost for Edinburgh Airport and all those that work here.”
“The past year has been challenging to say the least and I’m particularly pleased that the team was singled out as being the factor that secured us this prestigious award.”
