We are in the final quarter of the year and that means one thing; we are heading towards the festive period.
Most people love this time of the year, but the planning that is involved usually takes the shine off it all.
One of the biggest events to plan for is New Years Eve. Most people never know what to do and trying to organise your friends can be a pain, so here is a list of activities/events that you can try gain some ideas for. Beware, some may be achievable, some may not.
EdinburghOne of the most famous and historic cities in the world cannot be ignored when compiling this list. Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations are often described as the greatest new years eve celebrations on the planet. The street festivals and parties are home to thousands upon thousands of visitors for the evening. When the clock strikes midnight, it is said, there is no better place on earth than to be on the streets looking up at Edinburgh castle with the fireworks display overhead.
ParisWhy not look into spending the last day of the year in the romantic capital of the world, Paris. You can see the New Year in by saying “Bonne Annee”, drinking wine and watching the fireworks over the Eifel Tower or the Champs-Elysees.
House PartyIf you are wanting to keep the celebrations cheap and have enough space in your house, why not host a party. Playing games and seeing the New Year in with lots of friends is a cheap but fun way to celebrate.
New YorkTimes Square. Fireworks. Enough said.
Rio de JaneiroRio de Janeiro is by far one of if not the craziest place to party for New Year's Eve. Over 2 million people visit Rio de Janeiro during this time and the city erupts into 24 hour partying. Millions pack the city for an all-night festival of music, food, and fun, punctuated by spectacular fireworks. From mind-blowing scenery and incredible beaches to wild nightlife and beautiful people, Rio de Janeiro will make your New Years an unforgettable experience. Another great thing to note is that it is the middle of summer in Rio, so you will be able to get a great tan in the middle of winter.
If you are travelling by plane this New Years Eve and need cheap airport parking at your airport, then why not get yourself prepared and organised by booking with Looking4Parking.
