World of Aviation leaning towards a green future

With the world targeting a green future, many industries are looking at ways to reduce their carbon footprint. The aviation industry as a whole has undertaken a large role in combating climate change, for example many airlines are burning cleaner and more efficient fuel on long haul flights lowering emissions by up to 30 percent.

With this in mind airport parking services are looking at ways of making their job not only more eco-friendly but also cheaper by running on a cheaper fuel alternative. San Diego International Airport introduced its new fleet of environmentally conscious shuttle buses today which can carry you from the terminals to your parked car in an off-site SAN lot in style.

Another company taking this to the extreme is Nature Air; they are an airline based on a 100% carbon neutral program. They operate 74 daily flights with 8 aircrafts and improved fuel efficiency by 7% by training their crew, reducing aircrafts’ weight and focusing on flight planning. Nature Air has developed Costa Rica’s only bio-diesel fuelling station and aims to become climate neutral by 2021,  by reaching their target it would be a great step forward in cleaner technologies being implemented into big business.

Could this be a future for the aviation industry leading the way in innovation of eco-friendly projects and creating a greener future for everyone?

At Looking4Parking we certainly think so and welcome any changes that will give us a name as a leader in not only the airport parking sector but a reputation of an environmentally friendly company.
