Dover port is located around 5km from the city centre just off the A20, there are two terminals here the western & eastern docks. Dover port parking has two main car parks, the ferry terminal car park & the cruise terminal car park. The ferry terminal car park has a police force running regular patrols of the car park. The cruise terminal car park is also patrolled by this police force on a regular basis. The car park is located next to terminal 1 but provides the parking for terminal 2 also. A short walk will take you to the terminals which offer waiting lounges with lite refreshments. You've no need to worry about your car when using Dover port parking while you're away on business or holiday.
On Arrival
On arrival customers need to advise security staff at the gate, that parking for their Cruise has been pre-booked and they need to collect their security hanger. The staff will direct customers to the parking office. There, customers will be checked off on the manifest list - on production of their booking reference number (your booking ref), once they have been issued with their security hanger, they will be directed to the Terminal they are departing from where porters will assist and take their luggage for them, for loading onto the vessel. Customers then park up in the car parking area, as advised by the staff on the day, lock up their cars, and proceed directly to the reception and check-in areas. As some of the parking is further along the quayside, mini buses are provided to get customers to and from the parking areas as quickly and conveniently as possible. All customers keep their own keys.
