Mulhouse Airport, also known as Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport or Europort is within easy reach of Mulhouse in France (22 km away), Basel in Switzerland (6 km) and of Freiburg im Breisgau (70km). It is one of the few airports to be managed by 2 countries (France and Switzerland). However, the airport actually lies entirely on French soil, despite over half (52%) its passengers being Swiss nationals.
Mulhouse airport is mainly used by low-cost carriers such as Easyjet, Ryanair and Hop!; however more prestigious airlines such as Lufthansa, KLM and Air France also operate flights from this airport. Some of the destinations on offer at this airport are: Dublin, Stansted and Paris Charles De Gaulle.
Ever since the 1930’s, the idea of an airport jointly operated by France and Switzerland had surfaced, however this project was put on hold during the Second World War and it isn’t until 1946 that it finally opened. In 1952, a special road linking Basel to the airport was built which meant Swiss passengers didn’t have to go through border control.
There are only 2 car parking services on offer at EuroAirport, both of which are operator by our long-standing partner Park & Trip. However, please note we offer both the park & ride and meet & greet services that are run by this operator. These car parks offer great value for money and are located very close to the airport terminal which means the transfer time for the park & ride customers is extremely short.
As is the case with all the car parks on offer on our website, the parking services available at Mulhouse Airport have been carefully vetted by our team of expert inspectors. This means we can also confirm that at our last visit, a CCTV system was in place at the car park on offer at EuroAirport.
